Lou's love for nature began at a very early age. Camping and exploring the trails, rivers and vistas in the North Carolina and Tennessee Smoky Mountains with her family. There she developed an intense connection and respect for our natural world.
Lou is a Gatlinburg resident. Waking each day to the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains has inspired her ever growing photographic collection. Capturing the moods, extraordinary light and magnificent seasonal changes of these ancient mountains has become her lifelong passion. Lou's images often capture a more intimate view of the Smokies, sometimes missed by the casual traveler.
